My name is Kourtni (duh!) and I'm 22 years old. My favorite color EVER is yellow! I cannot go a day without having a Dr. Pepper. I just got my Associates in Criminal Justice and I'm pretty pumped. I'm planning on getting my Bachelor's to eventually become a Criminal Psychologist. Although currently, I got a REALLY good job as a Dental Assistant and I love it! I actually really enjoy going to school and meeting new people, learning new things, etc. I have other dreams such as I'd love to become an actress or become an editor of a popular magazine. I have a major obsession with purses and any kind of jacket. I've been off and on - online since I was about 15 years old and I've learned a lot about how people work on here. Believe it or not, I'm one of the rare REAL people you'll find on here. I have a heart of gold yet I'm stubborn as hell. I won't give into anything but if you're my friend and you mean the world to me, I'll jump over the moon if you need me to. I've never been really good at the forgive and forget thing. You do something shitty to me, don't expect me to want to be your friend for a very long time or possibly ever again. I get dissappointed a lot. Things never seem to go the way I hope they would. But thats the beauty in of life I suppose in a weird twisted way. I no longer expect much of others - I tend to be unrealistic. I get hurt too easy. I got out of a pretty serious relationship in August. I learned a lot from that one. I'll NEVER let a guy talk to me like that again and I'll never date someone who gives me less than what I deserve. I'm from a small town in Texas. Well, its not super small but not too many people know of it if they're not from around here. We're known for our incredible high school football team. We actually had a plug on "Friday Night Lights". My heart is and always will be in Texas. This is my home. This is where I feel all my dreams can and will come true and if you don't like Texas, you probably won't like my fascination with it. Texas Pride 100%. I'm a smart girl. I made the National Deans List twice - each semester with a 4.0 average. I love my family. I have a niece and nephew, 6 and 9, and they make my world go round. I can have the worst day of my life and if I see them, everything is ok again. They are what keeps my going. My motivation. My drive. I'm also a really big dog lover. I have *13* dogs right now. Yes, you read that right. We accidently ended up with an overgrown family by accident but I think its better than the option of shipping them off to the pound. They're welll taken care of and they don't go without anything. Crazyyyy yard though. One of them is Deja, who is the only dog I still have from about 2-3 years ago. Which, might I add, is heartbreaking. She's a great dog. Jarid and I decided to get a puppy. Actually, I wanted one for my birthday. Well, we went to look at the dogs and ended up bringing *3* home. Crazy, I know. But I wouldn't have it any other way. There was Harley, Max, and Lili. Unfortunately, Harley got hit by a car about a week before Christmas of 06' - not mangled - just internal injuries that couldn't be reversed. I was absolutely devastated. Then New Years Eve, my boss at the time had 2 puppies show up at his doorstep on Christmas Day. And so, he asked me if I wanted them and of course, knowing if I didn't take them they'd end up at the pound, I went and got them. Cowan and Izzi became part of the family that I didn't expect to grow anymore than it already had but oh, there was much more in store for me. So then there was 5. 6 including my sister's dog. In April, Deja became pregnant (DONT lecture me about the SPADE thing - it was in the works just obviously too little too late. - They've all been fixed now.) and she had 7 puppies. We found homes for three of them. Luke, who is one of the babies actually is my nephew's dog - that lives here. So, the remaining 4 were in the process of being put into new homes when the worst happened. Parvo struck them. I'm not one who will sit around and do nothing so, when Cowgirl got really sick I took her to the vet. He gave her 70% chance to make it but made it CLEAR that it was NOT going to be cheap. I said I didn't care about the cost I just wanted her life to be saved. 70% is too great of a chance to live to not give her the care she needs. So there she was. Put into the "puppy" hospital on IVs. The works. The other three that we had left from that litter started showing signs soon after. Yep, they had it. There was one that I was for sure going to keep, Lexi and well, let me just put it this way. Three of the four came home. Lexi did not make it. I tried so hard to save them. I did. =/ I was really blessed. 3 out of 4 survived but that didn't make me feel any better about the one lost. So, $750+ later (thank God for a good vet who knew I was just trying to do the right thing - he really helped me out in the cost department!) - Cowgirl, Luke, and Bailey became permanent members of the family. Then came more puppies before we could get a handle on everything. Lili had 6. Two died from what we do believe was heat related. 110 degree heat and puppies running around not knowing when too much is too much - we feel is what did it. So, we had found homes for one of them. But he was given back because the girl's boyfriend wanted a CAT instead. So, just when we were finding homes - everyone had excuses. We had a local rescue place donate a kennel to us because they KNEW that we were trying our best and that we were not letting these dogs go away to a shelter that would eventually seal their fates. So, with the help of many people and the drive to keep these dogs healthy - we have a hugeeee family of pets. Crazy story, I know.

Random Facts About Me
1. I made a 4.0 two semesters of college and I'm pretty friggin' proud of that. Made the Dean's List and before you smart off, my classes WERE challenging.
2. I really want to learn how to play the drums. I've always been interested.
3. Most people annoy the hell out of me.
4. Once you’re on my bad side - I wish you luck getting back on my good side. Seriously. I’m little but I have a huge bite. Promise.
5. When I was about 10 or so, I stuck my hand through a window because my best friend and sister pissed me off. It wasn’t an accident. I meant to do it.
6. I eat my taco without a shell, my hamburger without the bun.
7. I will get married on a beach. Barefooted. In a beautiful sundress.
8. I’ve only had 5 relationships. One lasted over a year. The others a month or less.
9. I broke my ankle on a trampoline when I was in 6th grade. I was supposed to have surgery but didn’t. Now it always turns at random. It hurts but whatever.
10. Two of my toes, on each foot, are webbed together. It’s cute actually.

I'm a total country girl at heart. I love the simple things. You can hand me a beer put me in a truck with a bunch of my friends and I have a blast just off roading all night and bullshitting. I loving getting muddy. Tell me we're going to ride 4-wheelers and play in the mud - I'm there at the snap of a finger. I love that I can walk outside at my house and see the entire horizon. All the stars. Complete silence except for the bugs of course. It's perfect. It's probably the best way to live and it puts my mind at ease after a bad day.

Misunderstood. There are things about me that most people do not understand. Thats ok by me. I like being "mysterious". Those that do get me - are really rare just because I haven't really met too many that "understand".

Sarcastic. I like to be this way. I have a twisted sense of humor. Don't like it? Don't talk to me. Sometimes I say things to people and they look at me like "bitch" - expand your mind. Try to understand that I'm making a joke - in a different way. But sometimes, I'm not being "sarcastic".

Lively. When I say lively, I mean I should of be diagnosed with A.D.D. I get soooo hyper - I'm a total night owl as well and that's not a good mix. I can talk for hours, well if the conversation is good. There is never really a dull moment - if there is, something is up with me. Or maybe it's just you.

Funny. I like to think I have a GREAT sense of humor. For some reason, I crack jokes and people always laugh. *shrug* I can find humor in ALMOST every thing. I live off of Comedy Central and Family Guy. LOVE IT.

REAL. I will be 100% honest with you. How I act on here is INDEED who I am off of here. Except, you cant see how clumsy I am, but hey that doesn't matter. I will tell you what I think - if you ask. I will never LIE to you NOT even if its the best thing to do. Dont like it? Don't talk to me. Simple as that. I will not lose a wink of sleep because YOU do not like me. =)
